The A.R. “Gus” Barksdale Boys & Girls Club works with hundreds of kids and teens each year to help them reach their full potential. We provide an environment where all youth feel safe and secure to dream, discover, and develop. Our programs focus on helping kids succeed in school, live healthy, and become leaders. We are so glad to be part of this community and look forward to working with you!

Who Influenced Me
My mother was the person who influenced my life as a kid. She was a single mother who wore many hats. She impacted many lives throughout our community volunteering for our church, school, and civic organizations.

Without faith, it is impossible.

The Club is making a positive impact in our community because of the relationships we build here. It start with “US”. Unity of the people will change lives.
