AMP’ED Experience 2026: The Power of the Arts
AMP’ED Experience, formerly known as Camp AMP’ED celebrates its 11th annual event hosted by Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, which brings together teens from across Metro Atlanta for a full day of creativity, collaboration, learning, and fun. Held this year at the Shaquille O’Neal Boys & Girls Club of Henry County, Camp AMP’ED has evolved into a one-day immersive learning workshop designed to focus on strengthening creative skills, confidence, and community among youth through hands-on experience.
Themed “The Power of the Arts – Culture as Canvas,” AMP’ED Experience 2026 provided teens with an opportunity to explore and develop their skills in Art, Music, Performance, and EDucation (AMP’ED). The day included intensive instructional programming across our five AMP’ED pathways (Music Production, Lyricism, Visual Arts, Theatre Arts, and Dance). Teens participated in hands-on experiences that encouraged them to express themselves, learn new creative techniques, and discover new ways to bring their ideas to life.

A Day of Fun, Learning, and Creativity
While the artistic workshops remained at the heart of AMP’ED Experience, the event also created opportunities for teens to connect, collaborate, and have fun. From hands-on creative activities to interactive learning experiences, the day encouraged teens to step outside their comfort zones, explore, collaborate with others, and celebrate their individual talents.
The evolution to the AMP’ED Experience as a one-day immersive learning workshop reflects BGCMA’s continued commitment to providing teens with accessible opportunities to explore the arts while building skills that can inspire future creative and professional pursuits.
Looking Ahead
AMP’ED Experience 2026 was a success, leaving teens excited and motivated to continue exploring their creative interests. Now in its 11th year, the event continues to demonstrate the power of the arts to unify the youth, encourage self-expression, and create impactful opportunities for learning and career exploration.
Held this year at the Shaquille O’Neal Boys & Girls Club of Henry County, the immersive workshop marked another exciting chapter in the evolution of Camp AMP’ED to AMP’ED Experience. As the program continues to grow, its mission remains the same: to give young people the space, support, and knowledge to discover their talent and create their path as an artist.
