Douglas County Boys & Girls Club

The Douglas County Boys & Girls Club works with hundreds of kids and teens each year to help them reach their full potential. We provide an environment where all youth feel safe and secure to dream, discover, and develop. Our programs focus on helping kids succeed in school, live healthy, and become leaders. We are so glad to be part of this community and look forward to working with you!

Why Boys & Girls Club

Simply, this is where I am meant to be. It is special to be entrusted to look out for and contribute to the growth of our young people. It is also special to be in a position where I can identify with and help build staff members who are passionate and invested in our mission.

Who Influenced Me

My parents were, and still are, my heroes.

Advice for our Youth

Be true to yourself and be the person your parents raised you to be: the person who knows right from wrong, makes good decisions, and isn’t influenced to make poor choices by others.

Our Impact in the Community

I know that we are a positive force in our community because I see our young people not only learning about good choices, but also making good choices and practicing their positive conflict resolution skills. Furthermore, we have consistently high graduation rates which are indicative of our teens’ preparedness and chance for success in their post-secondary educational pursuits.
