The At Promise Youth Center – South Boys & Girls Club ignites the unlimited potential of kids and teens ages 12 to 18 years of age through safe, inclusive, and engaging activities and programs. We are a club of transformation. Members enter our doors to receive academic support, learn alternatives for developing healthy lifestyles, and excel in character and leadership development. They will depart as young leaders thriving in life and strengthening the future endeavors of their community and beyond.

Why Boys & Girls Club
I love the Boys & Girls Club, I was a Club Kid, that grew up in the clubs. I know first hand the benefits of the club and the influence it can have on youth of various backgrounds. My experience with the Boys & Girls Club showed me that I wanted to be apart of a Movement that created experiences and opportunities. So I joined that movement to be a part of the change that ignites the unlimited potential in our kids and teens.
Who Influenced Me
I think I was influenced by the collection of adults that saw something in me, even when I didn’t see it in myself. They encouraged me when everything that was going on my life told me that I should give up. I want to be that person for the youth that I encounter each day.
Advice for our Youth
My advice for youth is that you are not determined by your past or your mistakes, or even the things that currently or continue to hinder you, create the future that you want, become the person that you dream to be, take your life lessons and become the teacher. But remember through it all Love yourself and know that You Are Enough.
Our Impact in the Community
I think we have a great impact in the community, we provide mentors to the youth, we create safe places, and we empower the future. We provide resources to communities that are in need. We create relationships with the youth, parents, schools and community.
What Makes Our Club Special
My club is special because we are a Teen Only Site, we create an environment to be Teen led. The Teens are empowered to become leaders. We work really hard to build relationships with the teens, they want to be at the center, and we want them here. Our teens are invested in their community and making a change within their community. We equip them with the skills they need to be successful professional adults.
