1) How long have you been a member of Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta?
Since I was 6 years old or since 2013.
2) Why is your Boys & Girls Club important to you?
The Boys & Girls Club has always been a place I can come to and has been like my second home.
3) What is your career goal? What do you want to do, be when you grow up?
I want to be a music producer.
4) How has your Club supported your goals for college, post-secondary education, and career?
The music program at my Club has taught me everything I know about music production.
5) Who has been a major influence in your life? Why?
My older brother because he’s been a father figure for most of my life and wants the best for me just like all of my family.
6) What is a success you achieved through the support of your Club?
I have made 3 songs, I’m Warren’s Youth of the Year, and I got a job as a junior staff.
7) What is a challenge that your Club helped you overcome?
The Club hasn’t helped me because I haven’t had that many.
8) Do you volunteer in your community or at the Club? Can you share a few examples of this?
Yes. I am a member of keystone, I have done I Can Club in elementary, and I have helped clean up the Club every now and then.
9) Why do you believe it is important for teens to use their voice in today’s society?
Yes.
10) What are you doing, what can you do to spark positive change in today’s society?
I know there isn’t much I can do, but I know I have to try my hardest to come up with something.
11) What moment or moments in your Club do you believe have shaped you to serve as your Club’s Youth of the Year
Over anything, it would be my first day at the Boys & Girls Club.
