Meet Isaiah: Youth of the Year for Michael A. Grant Boys & Girls Club

Post-Secondary/Career Interest: I’m planning on furthering my entrepreneurial experience with my current business. This includes surrounding myself with likeminded people, which can come from anywhere. My goal is to build a multi-billion dollar business.  

What does the phrase masterpiece in the making mean to you? “On the path to mastery, which is defined as the unconscious practice of a skill that used to require conscious resources.” 

Why is it important for kids to use their voice? We have to give context and our perspective to adults about this era. 

Short Bio: Isaiah is a 17-year-old high school senior who has been a Club kid since age six. He says his Club has served different roles at different points in his life. “When I was younger, it was a place where my mother could feel safe taking me. Now, it’s still that and has become a place where I can exercise professional skills that will aid me in the future.”
