1) How long have you been a member of Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta?
I’ve been attending for 5 years.
2) Why is your Boys & Girls Club important to you?
My Club is important because they give me better opportunities and resources than I would have from just being at home.
3) What is your career goal? What do you want to do, be when you grow up?
Be a professional baseball player, if that doesn’t work out I’ll just become a coach.
4) How has your Club supported your goals for college, post-secondary education, and career?
I tell them my goals and they give me the resources to take steps to complete them.
5) Who has been a major influence in your life? Why?
My Dad and Mr. Greg. They both support me through my choice in life and are very open-minded.
6) What is a success you achieved through the support of your Club?
Making it to eleventh grade.
7) What is a challenge that your Club helped you overcome?
Failing like 2 classes and they helped me get back on track. Now I have a 3.7 GPA.
8) Do you volunteer in your community or at the Club? Can you share a few examples of this?
Not really, but I volunteered to be Youth of the Year at my Boys & Girls Club.
9) Why do you believe it is important for teens to use their voice in today’s society?
So, they can have some input in their community. So, when we get older it won’t be too late.
10) What are you doing, what can you do to spark positive change in today’s society?
Volunteer in community service activities that I can help the most.
11) What moment or moments in your Club do you believe have shaped you to serve as your Club’s Youth of the Year
Me overcoming my shyness and antisocial ways to open up and let people know how I feel so they can help me.
