1) How long have you been a member of Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta?
I have been a part of the Boys and Girls for about more than 4 years now.
2) Why is your Boys & Girls Club important to you?
It is important to me because it’s where I like to have fun and I get a lot of different opportunities for me.
3) What is your career goal? What do you want to do, be when you grow up?
I would like to be a traveling registered nurse when I grow older.
4) How has your Club supported your goals for college, post-secondary education, and career?
They have helped me get a job to make some money and they gave me this opportunity by selecting me as YOY.
5) Who has been a major influence in your life? Why?
My auntie has been a major influence in my life she has helped me with so much stuff and we can talk about anything.
6) What is a success you achieved through the support of your Club?
I achieved becoming YOY which I think is pretty impressive.
7) What is a challenge that your Club helped you overcome?
They helped me get out of my comfort zone and talk freely.
8) Do you volunteer in your community or at the Club? Can you share a few examples of this?
I volunteered at my Boys & Girls Club in the summer.
9) Why do you believe it is important for teens to use their voice in today’s society?
I believe teens’ voices are important because I believe they go through things only they know about and we are the future.
10) What are you doing, what can you do to spark positive change in today’s society?
I would like to help younger kids out and help them grow up to be wonderful people.
11) What moment or moments in your Club do you believe have shaped you to serve as your Club’s Youth of the Year
I have been here for a long time. I help around the Club all the time and I’m always trying to help my directors and lead my peers.
