National Daughter’s Day (Sept. 25) is a special day to show our daughters how much they are loved, and the Warren Boys & Girls Club did just that on Sept. 22.
Warren Club girls were invited to an ice cream social courtesy of Executive Director Gail Johnson. The girls also left with a gift box of hair accessories & swag courtesy of Yalanda Barber-Sweney, CEO and founder of Inspire Your Daughter whose motto is “When you inspire your daughters, you inspire generations that change the world.”
“We all go further, faster together,” said Barber-Sweney. “I am who I am because of the village of people that surrounded me. I strongly believe that it’s my time to take up my torch and be apart of the village as well.
Warren Club Program Director LaDasia Ware says Barber-Sweney’s generous donation will have a lasting impact on the girls.
“It inspires the young ladies to be who they are, boosts their self-esteem, and helps beautify themselves,” Ware said.
