Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities
for Individuals

Individual Volunteers
Individual volunteers serve as support staff, lending a hand to help facilitate after school programs and activities that enrich the lives of our Club members.
Games Room or Gym Assistant
Help out in our games room and promote team-building, social skills, and overall FUN! Engage with youth ages 6 – 12 in small group activities such as foosball, pool, and indoor relays. Volunteers serve a minimum of two hours per week Monday through Friday beginning at 4:00pm.
Intramural Sports Coach
Coach youth ages 6 – 18 in structured team sports such as flag football, basketball, and soccer, while teaching the fundamentals of teamwork and sportsmanship. Volunteers serve two to four hours per week Monday through Friday between the hours of 4:00pm – 7:00pm.
Club “Super Hero” Program Assistant
Wear many hats as a Club “Super Hero”, while providing valuable assistance to staff. From greeting club members and assisting at the front desk, to helping organize/setup programming activities, each day will bring a new adventure as no two days will be the same. Volunteers should be flexible and serve a minimum of four hours per week Monday through Friday between the hours of 3:00pm – 7:00pm.
College Work Study
Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta offers college work study opportunities for students who attend fully-accredited colleges and universities. Work study students are considered volunteers, but must also be approved through our Human Resources department to meet certain federal requirements. To find out more about work study requirements, contact our Human Resources department.

Corporate, Civic, and Community Groups: To be considered for one-day volunteer and in-kind engagements, please contact Lauren Odom, Director, Community Engagement at lodom@bgcma.org if you have a group that would like to volunteer.
You must contact us within 60 days of your desired volunteer date. All group volunteers must sign a one-day Liability Waiver.
While we make our best attempt to match groups with the right opportunities, our priority is to ensure your proposed activity does not conflict with Club programming. We may not be able to accommodate large groups and specific timing due to Club capacity.
