On Jan. 24, middle school girls from Harland and Whitehead Clubs had the opportunity to visit Microsoft.
The experience included a panel of recement Spelman College graduates who currently work as Microsoft engineers. This exposure made Club members like Maya feel empowered.
“I really enjoyed our trip to Microsoft,” Maya said. “The panel made me realize that my career possibilities are endless.”
In addition to the engaging panel, Microsoft provided an interactive tour, featuring a special hands-on experience with a 3D printing machine. For many in attendance, the 3D printer was the highlight of the tour.
“My favorite part of our trip to Microsoft was going to The Garage,” said Cyanna, “I loved hearing about the 3D printing.”
Club members had the chance to use the 3D printing machine to personalize buttons and nameplates.
For many, this experience offered a new job they could attain in their futures.
