On Wednesday, Nov. 8, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta (BGCMA) organized a dynamic event at Harland Club that opened doors to educational and career possibilities for our ambitious members. The venue buzzed with energy as representatives from 14 colleges, universities, technical schools, Care Source Healthcare, Kroger, Aveda Institute, and the Air Force gathered to connect with the future leaders of tomorrow.
Our dedicated members, spanning grades 10th to 12th, had the invaluable opportunity to engage with these diverse institutions and organizations. The event served as a bridge between aspirations and reality, as students explored their college choices and future career interests. Conversations with knowledgeable representatives provided insights that will undoubtedly guide them on their academic and professional journeys.
In a generous gesture of support, Microsoft and Kroger, esteemed partners of BGCMA, contributed to the event’s success by creating and donating snack bags for attendees. These thoughtful provisions not only fueled the members during their exploration but also highlighted the collaborative spirit that makes such events impactful.
The next College/Military Fair is scheduled for February 13, 5-7p.m. at the Lawrenceville Club. Mark your calendars for an evening dedicated to discovering the myriad pathways that lead to success.
