What does the phrase masterpiece in the making mean to you? Masterpiece in the making means to be a Black, Beautiful, Young Woman.

Why is it important for kids to use their voice? It is important for teens to use their voice in today’s society because we never know if anyone could be going through the same thing, and you could be that person’s voice if they don’t have the courage to speak up.

Short Bio: Yasmine is a 16-year-old high school senior with dreams of attending Dayton State College and pursuing a career as a dental hygienist and eventually a dentist. She credits her Club for helping to shape her into the young woman she is today.  She especially thanks her Club for supporting her during the tragic death of her father. “I went into a shell and stayed to myself for almost 4 months; they provided counseling and other strategies to help me overcome this challenge.” Through the support of her Club challenging her to take upper-level courses, Yasmine is happy to report that she will graduate high school early.
