Post-Secondary/Career Interest: “I aspire to attend Tuskegee University and major in veterinary medicine. After completing my undergraduate studies, I plan to dedicate an additional three years to training to become a veterinarian.”
Why is your Boys & Girls Club important to you? “My Boys & Girls Club is important to me because it offers a welcoming and safe environment for everyone. Being able to approach anyone at the club to discuss thoughts and feelings you might not have considered before is a significant step for kids. The club strikes a perfect balance between work and seriousness and time for fun and play. It provides opportunities to meet new people and make friends. Truly, it is a magical place for kids where everyone is welcome.”
How does it feel to represent your Club as Youth of the Year? What does it mean to you? “It honestly feels incredible to be recognized and confidently chosen to represent a place I can truly call home. This opportunity is refreshing, and I plan to make the most of it. I will share my experiences with others, hoping to inspire them to aspire to be in a similar position as I am.”

“My Club helped me become more adaptable to any situation that may present itself. Before then I would always shut down and avoid anything I didn’t know how to do. But now when any opportunity presents itself, I know how to handle it in a certain manner for the best outcome for everyone.”
