Twelve-year-old Kennedi is a budding entrepreneur thanks to an inspiring workshop she took at Warren Club’s Saturday Academy this past April. Kennedi, who has been a member for six years, attended three classes on nail technology and three classes on candle-making. It was the candle-making workshop, taught by Katherine Moliner, owner of Audrey Cole Candles that ignited her potential to start her own business.

Kennedi not only enjoyed learning how to make candles, but she also thought about how it could be a business opportunity. According to Kennedi, “I was very interested and wanted to take it to another level and start my business. Ms. Katherine was very supportive.  She gave me all the measurements, the good websites to use, and even helped me put everything I needed into my cart.”

Kennedi’s candle-making business, K’s Klassy Kandles, has 19 fragrances.  Her signature one is pineapple cilantro and is called Swag & Surf. The online store is currently in development and will be launching soon.
