Invitation to Bid – Food Service
Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta (BGCMA) invites the submission of sealed bids from qualified food service management companies for the preparation and delivery of meals to its centers. Prospective bidders must be capable of providing supper to approximately 2,100 children ages 5-18 for 185 days during the school year (CACFP) and lunch and PM snacks for 35 days during the summer (SFSP) five days a week. Prospective bidders must be capable of delivering meals to the following counties:
- Fulton
- Rockdale
- Gwinnett
- Cobb
- DeKalb
- Douglas
- Clayton
- Coweta
- Cherokee
- Henry
The dates of the initial contract period are October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025. The bids should consider all applicable U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) requirements.
Bids for the above must be received by 1 pm on August 23, 2024, at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, 2880 Dresden Drive, Chamblee, GA 30341. The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federal program that provides reimbursements for nutritious meals and snacks to eligible children and adults who are enrolled for care at participating childcare centers, day care homes, and adult day care centers. CACFP also provides reimbursements for meals served to children and youth participating in afterschool care programs, children residing in emergency shelters, and adults over the age of 60 or living with a disability and enrolled in day care facilities. CACFP contributes to the wellness, healthy growth, and development of young children and adults in the United States.
