Nine middle and high school young men from Harland Boys & Girls Club attended a law dinner hosted by BakerHostetler law firm.
During the dinner, the teens engaged in a panel discussion about various jobs at the law firm, including technical support, researchers, legal aids, and attorneys. The teens asked questions about time management and how to incorporate their personal and professional interests into their careers.
Club teens also had an interactive tour of the law firm where they learned more about the educational path towards earning a law degree or a career in the legal field.
Teens described the high points of the law dinner was getting to hear about the successes and failures in legal careers, maintaining careers, and having a mentor to guide them throughout their journey.
“Our middle and high school young men from the Harland Club had an amazing opportunity to explore the vast career options in the legal field at a dinner and panel discussion hosted by BakerHostetler law firm. They were introduced to careers in legal affairs, legal aids and technology support,” said Director of College & Career Readiness Dr. Anna Jones, “Our young men asked questions about time management, career mentors and successes and failures that influenced career choices.”
