The weekend leading into Thanksgiving, Camp Kiwanis hosted their annual Fall Play Day at Camp K, where they open Camp Kiwanis to Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta (BGCMA) alumni, friends, family, and other community members.
Fall Play Fay at Camp K is also where the newest members of Camp Kiwnanis’ Leaders In Nature’s Kingdom (L.I.N.K.) put their training into use to lead the weekend of activities.
“The LINK teens all worked so well together, orchestrating an amazing Day of Play,” said Camp Kiwanis Executive Director Carly Robinson.
L.I.N.K. members led BGCMA alumni, family, and friends through a weekend of night trails, nature hikes, kayaking, biking, and much more. The fun continued with archery, hayrides, arts and crafts, and a cookout featuring hotdogs and s’mores over a campfire. Some participants had the opportunity to stay the night by camping outdoors or in a cabin.
“It was an amazing time for all involved, ” said Robinson, “It was wonderful to see so many alumni, family, and friends.”
