Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta (BGCMA) hosted our 4th annual TopGolf Fundraiser: Driving Great Futures — raising more than $192,000 for College & Career Readiness initiatives.
With more than 300 guests in attendance, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and fellowship. Held at Topgolf Midtown on April 25, the event attracted a diverse range of supporters, including corporate professionals, generous donors, enthusiastic young alumni, prominent media outlets, and esteemed members of Divine 9 sororities and fraternities.
What made this year’s event even more special was the active involvement of BGCMA’s Teen Ambassador Program (TAP), funded by Mayor Andre Dickens and the City of Atlanta’s Year of the Youth initiative. Seven TAP members served as greeters, welcoming guests and guiding them to their designated bays while sharing the impactful mission of BGCMA and their own personal stories of how the Club has positively influenced their lives. These remarkable teens also contributed to marketing and fundraising efforts.
Under the adept guidance of the Resource Development Team, the event raised $192,000 and counting. These funds will be instrumental in supporting BGCMA’s College & Career/Workforce Readiness initiatives, ensuring that Club members have access to crucial resources such as ACT/SAT preparation, resume building workshops, career exploration tours, college and technical school visits, and valuable paid summer work experiences.
The ultimate goal of BGCMA is to empower Club members to graduate from high school on time and equipped with personalized plans for their bright futures. The generosity and support shown at the TopGolf Fundraiser have significantly contributed to realizing this vision, providing tangible opportunities for youth to thrive and succeed.
BGCMA extends a warm “THANK YOU” to everyone who participated– from sponsors to guests. Special recognition also goes to BGCMA Board Member Jim Kaufman for his instrumental role in securing Merrill as the presenting sponsor for the fourth consecutive year. This support has been pivotal in advancing BGCMA’s mission of empowering youth and creating positive futures.
