August 29, 2024 BGCMA

On July 23, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta (BGCMA) staff gathered together for the Third Annual Staff Symposium at Atlanta Technical College. The day-long event brought together staff, executives, and club representatives for a celebration of BGMCA’s achievements and a collaborative vision for the future.

The symposium kicked off at 9:00am with a warm welcome, Chick-Fil-A breakfast, and t-shirt pickup as celebratory music filled the auditorium. The program officially began at 10am, with Teen Ambassador emcees (Lon’Dahn and Nick) leading the welcome and Marlon Montgomery setting the tone for the day. BGCMA board chair Larry Patrick followed with remarks reflecting on his journey as a former Club kid and expressed gratitude for the dedication of BGCMA staff.

President and CEO of BGCMA David Jernigan then took the stage to deliver the “State of the Organization” address, highlighting the progress and impact of BGCMA initiatives.
