ATLANTA, Ga. [April 2021] – Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta is excited to announce the opening of At-Promise South Boys & Girls Club. The new site is housed within the At-Promise Youth Center at 836 Metropolitan Parkway, SW, Atlanta.

At-Promise South Boys & Girls Club, based in Atlanta’s Pittsburgh community, joins over 20 Boys & Girls Club sites, providing critical programming to youth each day.  The At-Promise South Club will serve as both a distance learning and traditional after school provider to support kids and their academic success as well as offer peer-to-peer interaction and socio-emotional support. Focused on igniting their unlimited potential by creating safe, inclusive, and engaging environments, the At-Promise South Club will annually serve about 100 teens ages 12-18.

The new Club sits inside At-Promise South Youth Center’s 17,000-square-foot space. The facility features the following dedicated and shared amenities:

  • Tech Lab
  • Art Studio
  • Music Studio
  • Community Room

This Club is the second to open in an At-Promise Youth Center, an initiative led by Atlanta Police Foundation and Atlanta Police Department. Each center houses some of the city’s leading youth services organizations committed to addressing the needs of the community. City officials, including Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, recently celebrated the opening of the new site with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

“We are grateful to Atlanta Police Foundation and Atlanta Police Department for another opportunity to collaborate with organizations dedicated to supporting our leaders of tomorrow,” said David Jernigan, President & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta. “In these challenging times, it’s imperative that we step up by providing key resources and experiences that can help our kids achieve their dreams.”
