ATLANTA (May 14, 2025) – Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta (BGCMA) is proud to announce the appointment of Libby Saylor Wright as its next President & Chief Executive Officer, effective June 16, 2025. In her new role, she will oversee BGCMA’s strategic direction and operation, supporting 25 Clubs located across nine Metro Atlanta counties.
Wright brings more than two decades of leadership experience at the intersection of business strategy and community empowerment, with a strong personal commitment to women empowerment and youth development.
“Libby is a servant leader with a powerful vision and a track record of delivering meaningful impact,” said BGCMA Board Chair Larry Patrick. “At a time when nonprofits across the country are navigating significant challenges—economic pressures, shifting donor landscapes, and increasing community needs—we are confident that Libby’s strategic mindset, operational expertise, and deep commitment to youth development uniquely position her to lead BGCMA forward. Her heart for community, combined with her ability to lead complex organizations, makes her exactly the right person to guide us into this next chapter.”
Prior to joining BGCMA, Wright served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff for Microsoft’s U.S. Retail & Consumer Goods Operating Unit, where she helped lead a $5.5 billion division driving innovation in organization strategy, performance management, operations, and people & culture. Before her time at Microsoft, she was Chief Operating Officer of the Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF), a national nonprofit dedicated to advancing women leaders. Wright also spent 13 years with The Coca-Cola Company, where she played key roles in building new organizational capabilities across shopper marketing, retail sales, and portfolio innovation.
While her corporate resume is extensive, Wright’s heart for service has been a constant force throughout her life. She has spent more than two decades championing youth mentorship, education, and leadership development through a range of impactful volunteer roles. Her community leadership includes:
• Former Board Chair and long-time volunteer at Elite Women of Excellence (EWOE), a mentoring organization focused on empowering teenage girls to lead with principle, passion, and purpose.
• Past President of the Atlanta Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., where she led nearly 200 women in executing the organization’s mission to develop the next generation of leaders.
• Career Coach, Fundraiser, and Volunteer with The Posse Foundation, where she has helped build awareness and support for college access and leadership development.
• Former Board Member of NextUp, an organization committed to advancing all women, growing business, and transforming workplaces through the power of community.
• Current Member of the University of Connecticut Foundation’s Women & Philanthropy Leadership Council, supporting scholarships and advancement for women students.
• Active Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and The Links, Inc., both national organizations focused on public service, cultural enrichment, and community impact.
• As a member of The Links, Inc. Azalea City (GA) Chapter, she works closely with the chapter’s Hollis R.O.S.E.S. at Hollis Innovation Academy, a mentoring program for girls—where she leads the development of annual programming and a monthly calendar of skill-based activities focused on financial literacy, mental wellness, career development, and more.
“Joining Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta is more than a professional opportunity— it is a deeply personal calling,” said Wright. “Over the course of my corporate career, from Coca-Cola to Microsoft, I have built strategies, led high-performing teams, and translated insights into meaningful results. I am energized to bring those experiences into the nonprofit sector, where the outcomes are life-changing and the mission is urgent. My years of service with organizations like Elite Women of Excellence and The Posse Foundation have kept me anchored in community and purpose. I am truly honored to lead an organization that, for 85 years, has created safe, inclusive, and engaging environments for youth. Together, we will expand our reach, deepen our impact, and continue igniting the unlimited potential of every kid and teen who walks through our Blue Doors.”
Wright’s connection to the Boys & Girls Clubs Movement is also personal. Her husband is a proud Club alumnus of the Boys & Girls Club of Binghamton; their son, now a rising college junior, volunteered at the Jesse Draper Club in College Park. She believes deeply that every child—no matter their background—deserves a safe place to belong, grow, and thrive.
