On Friday, April 14, the Center for a New Generation Boys & Girls Club (CNG) and the Arts & Innovation Program partnered again to host the Second Annual Full STEAM Ahead Lego Build Competition. (Read about the inaugural LEGO competition here!)
Prior to presenting on Friday, Club members spent months building their creations under the theme, Theme Park.
“The LEGO competition provides a great opportunity for Club kids to connect and collaborate in science, technology, arts, and mathematics, also known as STEAM,” said CNG Executive Director Charlese “Ms. CeCe” Malcolm.
The LEGO Build Competition is one of many Full STEAM Ahead programs created by Malcolm, other programs focus on K’nex, woodworking, and robotics.
With so many creative LEGO Builds, judges had a hard task voting on the top three winners in the contest.
