Cricket Wireless has teamed up with the Chamblee Boys & Girls Club to give a local family a reason to smile this holiday season. The family, who was nominated by the Chamblee Boys & Girls Club, was surprised with up to $5,000 in gifts to help them meet critical needs so they can “stress less, smile more” and focus on what matters most around the holidays – connecting with each other to create unmissable moments.
The Soto family, Mirna and her three daughters, were nominated to be this year’s gift recipients because of their role as integral members of the community. Despite the implications of the pandemic, Mirna works tirelessly to provide for her family and support local causes. In fact, they are often the first to volunteer resources to assist those in need. This gift will lighten their financial burden during the holidays, provide for basic necessities and give this deserving family some special memories this holiday season.
The Soto family is one of many across the country who were surprised over the course of 12 days, starting on Nov. 15 in conjunction with World Kindness Day. This is a part of Cricket Wireless’ “12 Days of Cricket” giving initiative.
Cricket cares about building healthy, human connections for happier youth. Cricket supports young people and their families by fostering kindness, encouraging healthy mobile habits, and providing resources to help them overcome challenging times.
